Who would you take off the list, and who would you add?
I love Marilyn Monroe but i think she should be a lot lower. Maybe in the twenties, because i think she is a pretty good actress, but overrated because of her looks. Paul Newman and Richard Burton deserve to be there. I think they were both a few years too late to be considered for the list though.
Who is your favorite, least favorite?
Actresses- I agree with the top three, and i also love Elizabeth Taylor, Vivien Leigh, and Ava Gardner
Actors- Marlon Brando, after him, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Spencer Tracy, SIdney Poitier, Kirk Douglas, and Gregory Peck (I suck at picking favorites)
What are the best movies of the actors (you don’t have to name the best for all 50, just whichever ones come to mind)?
I wish that list wasn’t so exclusive though because thenit can’t be a defintive list..
My own personal likes wouldn’t even be CONSIDERED for that list.
I cannot answer your questions very well as I’ve seen abrely any of their movuies (although I’m familiar with them all) but i;’ll give you an overview…
I like Robert Mitchum, he should be higher. I’ve seen cape fear & night of the hunter=-he’s great.

I;m notr very into old movies so really, I’ve only seen the defining performances of very few of those actors and actresses; vivien leigh as scarlett, bette davis as margot channing,
But they were amazing
stunning performances as flawed & fascinating women
I love Marlon Brando in a streetcar named desire, Terrific he was. lusty but brutal
